Dinsdales Writing Prompts 13/09/2020

The duck is back with new words for you to use in your creative writing. Have fun with playing with the words and see what you can come up with. We are sure that you can do something fantastic with it. Just pick up a pen and a piece of paper and let your mind travel the landscape of imagination:

sparrow

tennis ball

mitten

pipe

wheelbarrow

watch

Use as many or as few of the words as you like. Good luck and good fun 🙂

Extra Dinsdales Writing Prompts 11/09/2020

Dinsdale has come up with a strange idea. He is using the last letter of each word to start the next word. It confuses me but I am sure you will be able to work out what he is doing here:

Table

Elephant

Telephone

Eggplant

Trombone

Exit

Seems that Dinsdale got hooked on E and T there. See what you can come up with in your writing. Have fun with it.

Dinsdales Writing Prompts 11/09/2020

Dinsdale has decided to go with pictures again for your prompts. You can use them to create stories, poetry, plays. I hope that you try them even if it is only just for fun. Or you can send them to thestoryshedblog@gmail.com

The main thing is to have some fun with it, and not take it too seriously. You can not get it wrong, so give it a shot 🙂

Dinsdale’s Story Prompts 10/09/2020

So today our fave duck in the shed decided he wanted to go digital with his prompts. I have to keep him from pecking away at the keyboard. So here are the words for your creative writing (stories/poems/plays) and maybe even pictures.

keyboard

screen

mouse

byte

processor

programme

Some of these words have other meanings, so do not be afraid to use them that way as well 🙂

Four months of Storyshed Blog on video

So today marks four months since the first video was put up on youtube. It was intended to try and make things a little bit lighter as we all tackle the Covid 19. Even after it is sorted out I am hoping to continue with the blog and videos. I would dearly love to grow the audience a little bit more.

Could I ask people to please share the channel storyshedblog on youtube. I feel that stories to live have to be shared. They are like a gift that can be given freely and hopefully for the moment of hearing will make people feel a little happier.

Don’t forget, if you want to share any of your stories or poems you can send them to thestoryshedblog@gmail.com. I can’t promise to use them all, but they might turn up on the blog or be read out on video.

Dindsdales Writing Prompts 08/09/2020

So today Dinsdale has decided to not use words at all, and is giving you some pictures to look at. Can you create a story based on the following images. You can use all of them or just one of them. Do it for fun and see what you can create.

Take your time and have fun, and if you are happy with it maybe you can send it to thestoryshedblog@gmail.com where we can share it online or in the story shed itself.

Dindsdale’s Prompts 06/09/2020

The literate duck has today chosen words to do with nature. We hope that you can find a way of being creative with his selection. Either in the form of a poem, a story or even a picture. Just do it for fun, and see what you can come up with. You can always send them to thestoryshedblog@gmail.com 🙂

The words are

leaves

sky

bird

lawn

tree

and sun

Have fun, stay safe and be well.
