Happy Halloween

We hope that no matter how you decide to celebrate Halloween that you have great fun with it. It is sad that it will not be business as usual, but the hope is that you will be able to take at least a little bit of inspiration from this blog. Enjoy yourselves, maybe with some nice food and drink. Watch a spooky movie and play some spooky games.

Maybe next year it will be back to normal or haunted normal 🙂

Halloween Bling

With a little bit of effort you can make yourself sparkle for this Halloween. Here are some ideas for making a fair few bits of jewellery. You might find the perfect family project to work on together. Glistening and glinting for your spooky party, and maybe making them so you can wear them next year again. Here is a useful resource from the cobwebby corners of the interweb itself:(may take some work and resources)

Shadowy Halloween

Normally I guess we think about decorating our windows with snow for Xmas. Well why not this year get the black paper and scissors out and do it for Halloween. It means that people can enjoy the spooky season from afar. Social distanced spooking…wooohhhhhhh woohhhhh. I think that there are relatively simple ways of doing it, so why not give it a shot eh? 🙂

Lost in the woods

Just saw this on the news and thought that it was well worth sharing. It would seem that it has been advised for there to be no trick or treating. No door knocking and no handing out of sweeties. Lossie Woods have put together a trail in their woods so that there can be some social distancing:

Looks like a good plan to me.

What’s the story?

So as we head towards the night itself of Halloween, I am thinking about going back into the story shed itself to do some recording. Are there any Halloween stories that you would like to hear read. Please let us know which you would like, of course keeping in mind it shouldn’t be too scary (we have some limits) 🙂 Send suggestions to thestoryshedblog@gmail.com
